The Office at Southbank is an office unit within the SOHO development situated at North Bridge road. Located on the 13th storey, the unit commands excellent unblocked views of the surrounding; overlooking directly onto the Kallang River and Singapore Sports Hub.

The challenge of the project was to update the look of the unit, whilst minimizing impact to the existing joinery works and floor finishes, and to add in new elements that suit the operational needs of the client. Our design attempts to create spaces that have constant visual connectivity within the office and to capitalize on the exterior views as an expansion of the interior spaces.

Working with the existing floor finishes (cream coloured tiles and teak parquet flooring), the design decision is to maintain a fairly simple muted colour palette comprising of dark stained oak veneer, maple timber laminate panels, white paint, to form the back drop for the client to display their own art pieces eventually.
