This residence was shaped through a close and thoughtful collaboration between the homeowners and our team, where materiality became the starting point of design. Guided by the clients’ preference for expressive stone surfaces and warm timber tones, we developed a visual language that balances richness with restraint — creating an atmosphere that feels composed yet deeply personal.

Designed for a young family of three, the home needed to support both daily routines and moments of gathering. The brief called for a built-in wine cabinet to house a growing collection, an oval dining table for eight to host family and friends, and a reconfiguration of the kitchen, bathrooms and wardrobes to enhance functionality. Flexibility was equally important: a study was designed to convert seamlessly into a guest room to accommodate visiting parents.

Rather than treating these as isolated requirements, the planning strategy focused on spatial continuity and clarity. The removal of the wall between the private lift lobby and dining area allowed the threshold of arrival to unfold more generously. In its place, a curved glass partition was introduced — preserving openness while gently defining zones. This intervention not only accommodates the custom wine cabinet, but also transforms the entry sequence into a refined moment of reveal.

Within the private quarters, the master bedroom is conceived as a retreat from the social areas of the home. A low-profile headboard, softened curves and concealed uplighting create a layered, tranquil ambience. The adjoining bathroom was reorganised to prioritise usability and storage, replacing the existing bathtub with a generous vanity counter and reconfiguring walls to optimise spatial efficiency.

Throughout the apartment, luxury is expressed not through excess, but through proportion, material depth and careful detailing. The result is a home that feels open yet intimate, refined yet warm — a space designed not only to impress, but to be lived in comfortably over time.
